the 'replay xd1080' camera is the smallest full-HD camera, designed for use in extreme conditions
measuring 1.1 x 3.6 inches (2.8 x 9.1 cm) and weighing three ounces (85g), the 'replay xd1080' offers full-HD video recording in a range of hard-to-capture environments.
designed for extreme sports recording, the camera features a military-grade anodized aluminum body, with a double o-ring sealed lens bezel, rear cap, and on/off buttons to protect from mud, water, and other harsh conditions. its manufacturers also claim the camera is 'drop-proof' and 'shock-proof'.
unlike most helmet cams and other lightweight action cameras, the 135-degree field of view of the 'replay xd1080' does not cause any lens distortion.recording modes are set with a button press on the back of the device, and capture up to 60fps for 720-pixel video and 30fps for 1080P. a time-lapse mode automatically shoots still photographs at predetermined intervals of one, five, ten, or 15 seconds.
the audio capture is designed to suppress windnoise without negatively impacting the recorded acoustics, while a mini-jack adaptor permits the connection of mics and other audio sources. the device can also stream
full HD through a built-in HDMI port.
retailing for 300 USD, the 'replay xd1080' is now available for preorder, to begin shipping at the end of june.
